Keto Chaffles

This keto chaffle recipe is so easy and simple to make with just 5 ingredient. Low-carb lovers will love keto chaffles because they have a pleasant texture and a delicious combination of cheese. They turn out chewy and crispy when cooked in a waffle maker.

The term "chaffle" refers to a waffle made just with cheese and eggs. Basically chaffles do not contain flour, baking powder, or any other ingredients. But we are making these chaffles soft and fluffy as well as crunchy, so we are using almond flour and baking powder for crunchiness.


With each crispy bite, those wonderful treats made from a blend of cheese and eggs create a lovely texture. 

A golden-brown crust with a delicious crunch that gives way to a cheesy inside that is both fluffy and flavorful.

Ingredients:


- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

- 1 large egg

- 1/4 cup almond flour

- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder

- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (optional, for savory chaffles)

- Maple syrup (optional for topping)



Instructions:


1. Preheat the waffle maker.


2. In a microwave-safe bowl, heat the shredded mozzarella cheese until completely melted and smooth.


3. In a separate bowl, whisk the egg, then add the almond flour, baking powder, and optional garlic powder.


4. Stir the melted mozzarella cheese into the egg mixture until fully mixed.


5. Lightly grease the waffle maker with oil or cooking spray.


6. Pour half of the batter into the hot waffle maker, close the lid, and cook until golden brown and crisp.


7. Repeat with the remaining batter.
