Ingredients:


1 pound ground turkey

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 small onion, diced

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon chili powder

1 teaspoon ground cumin

1/2 teaspoon paprika

1/2 teaspoon dried oregano

Salt and pepper to taste

1/2 cup diced tomatoes

1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro

1 avocado, diced

8 large lettuce leaves (such as romaine or butter lettuce)

(Optional toppings: shredded cheese




Instructions:


1. In a big skillet over medium heat, heat up the olive oil. Add the chopped onion and garlic, and cook for 2-3 minutes, or until softened.



2. Using a spoon, break up the ground turkey and add it to the skillet. Cook for 5 to 7 minutes, or until browned and cooked through.



3. Cook for an additional two to three minutes, or until fragrant, after stirring in the chili powder, cumin, paprika, oregano, salt, and pepper.



4. Add diced tomatoes and cook for a further 2-3 minutes, or until well cooked.


5. Take the skillet off of the burner and add the chopped cilantro.



6. Spoon the turkey mixture onto each lettuce leaf to make the lettuce wraps. Add chopped avocado and any other optional toppings you choose on top.




7. Serve immediately and enjoy!
